Dallas, Texas born and raised producer Medasin has slowly crept further and further onto the stage of shows and festivals – and now we believe he’s ready to headline them.
Having begun music production at the immensely early age of 12, Grant Nelson is one of the hottest up and coming artists to grab the reigns of EDM. With pure untapped potential and unbound creative thresholds – Medasin has gained over 85 mil+ streams across all platforms in the last couple of years. His uniqueness and flowy groove has attracted plenty of A-list performers such as DJ Khaled, Martin Garrix, Portugal. The Man, as well as SchoolBoy Q. His remixes even earned him the top achievement of “remix of the year” in 2017 – which gave Medasin the idea to pursue creation of sample packs. These packs, sold on Splice, have been used and applied amongst an avid variety of genres from Kill The Noise to Deadmau5.
And the cherry on top remains being labeled “Best Electronic Act of 2017” by a news source back home in Dallas, TX.
Very quickly, Medasin earned spots at nationwide festivals such as Lollapalooza, Electric Forest, HARD Summer, and even Summerfest. Alongside his new friends Martin Garrix, Kaskade, and Kill The Noise – plenty of people poured out to show support for the 22 year old and continued this support for his first domestic tour across the U.S., nearly selling out every single show.
His first debut album, Irene, really caught the attention of house music lovers whom had become sick of the same snares and kick. We’re sure there’s better word association and more efficient terminology to describe Medasin’s niche sounds – but it’s just groovy man.
Irene was the brainchild of 3 whole years in the making and fully encapsulates the ability any good producer needs of being able to think outside the framework of dance music. By offering something unique, even in a niche way such as how Medasin does, returns with a much more unified and loyal fanbase.
However, this year he took it one step further by gifting the release of Rippls, his latest album. The track Everything on Rippls is absolutely the favorite child – however it goes without saying that Medasin outdid himself all over again. He’s perfected the floatation of the music and it’s artistry to the core back – absolutely exceptional and fruitful production work.
Keep up to date on Medasin and absolutely check out Rippls on all streaming platforms – as well as us over at Enigmatic for more updates on hottest names inside, and outside, the festival gates.
